It won’t be wrong to say the best and easiest ladoo we have is Besan ka Ladoo.
These Besan ladoo are made of Besan(gram flour), which is a super rich in protein and our after binding it with
desi ghee this will be a full protein and energy ball.
This reminds me my college days when in hostel we all used to bring besan ka ladoo of different variety and use to share it with each other. It was so great to see how simple besan ka ladoo can have different taste by just customizing the ingredients.
In Besan ke ladoo that we will be making today, we will try to make it a little more healthier by using Brown sugar instead of refined sugar and using very little Desi ghee. Ya desi ghee is good for health if consumed in a controlled way.
So lets see what all ingredients we will be using in the recipe for Besan ke ladoo.
1- Besan (Gram flour / Chickpea flour) – 1 cup.
2- Almonds (Grounded) – 1/4 cup.
3- Cardamom seeds – 5-6.
4- Brown sugar / Jaggery – 1/2 cup.
5- Milk – 1/8 cup.
6- Desi Ghee – 1/4 cup.
Steps for making Besan ka ladoo:
1- In a pan add 1 cup Besan / Gram flour / Chick pea flour and start roasting on a low flame.
2- Take 1/4 cup almonds and 5-6 cardamom seeds and grind it to make fine powder.
3- Add the almond powder in gramflour and keep roasting, till the besan gives a nutty flavor.
4- Turn the flame off and add 1/2 cup brown sugar and mix it well.
5- Add 1/4 cup desi ghee (preferred cow milk ghee) and mix it well.
6- Add 1/8 cup warm milk and mix it well.
7- Apply some water on palms and take a small portion of the mixture to make small balls/ laddoos.
Our Besan ke ladoo are now ready. Keep in cool dry place and try not to eat all at once.
