Rava Sooji Uttapam Recipe

How to make rava sooji uttapam for healthy kids breakfast.

  • 3 cups Sooji / Rava
  • 2.5 cups Butter milk
  • 2 units Chopped tomatoes
  • 2 units Chopped Onions
  • 1 unit Chopped Capsicum
  • 1 unit Green chilli
  • 1 tsp Rai / Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Dhaniya powder
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
  • 5 Chopped curry leaves


  • Take 3 cups of rava/sooji in a deep bowl and add 2.5 cups of butter milk in it.
  • Mix it well and make sure there are no lumps. Add more butter milk if required and make a thick batter.
  • In a blender add Onion, Tomatoes and capsicum and blend it for few secs to make fine chopped vegetable mixture.
  • Add this mixture in the rava batter.
  • Now in pan add oil and once its hot then add rai /mustard seeds, chopped green chilli and curry leaves and fry this for few secs.
  • add this mixture in the rava batter and mix it well.
  • Now in a hot pan add some batter and spread around to make the pancakes.
  • cook it for 3-4 mins on both sides.
